1. About This Notice

This notice describes ReadForPay's handling of personal information across the reader platform at readforpay.com. It applies when you create an account, accept book assignments, submit completed work, and receive payouts.

2. Reader Details We Handle

Account details

• Full name and email address
• A verified US phone number used for verification and transactional messages
• Eligibility answers about your Amazon account and your language preferences

Payout setup

• Stripe Connect Express handles payout setup for US readers.
• We do not directly store your US bank account details.

Reader activity

• Books you claim through pickups and then read or complete
• Completion proof, including Amazon review URLs and written book reports
• Audible listener profile URLs and IDs, audiobook promo-code redemption confirmations, review screenshots, emailed report metadata and attachments, code-error screenshots, and staff verification notes
• Earnings, payout state, assignment deadlines, support requests, and other account activity

Technical records

• Your IP address, browser type, device information, and access timestamps
• Security and fraud logs that help us protect ReadForPay

3. Why We Use This Information

• Open and manage your account
• Verify your phone number and prevent duplicate accounts
• Process assignments, submissions, earnings, and payouts
• Deliver transactional communications about account activity
• Prevent fraud, abuse, policy violations, and other platform misuse
• Provide support and improve ReadForPay

4. Text Message Program

Providing your phone number and opting in gives consent to receive recurring SMS from ReadForPay. Messages can include verification codes, assignment notifications, earnings updates, and deadline reminders.

• Reply STOP at any time to opt out.

• Carriers are not liable for messages that are delayed or undelivered.

5. When Information Is Shared

ReadForPay does not sell or rent personal information. Sharing is limited to the operational providers we use for Firebase, Stripe, Twilio, email delivery, hosting, and fraud prevention tools.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law or legal process, for platform policy enforcement, or when needed to protect the public, our users, or ReadForPay.

Audiobook review screenshots are removed 30 days after staff approval. They are not removed on this schedule when the assignment was not approved. Code-error screenshots are removed 30 days after the final staff decision. Emailed reports and their linked submission records are kept indefinitely. Temporary mailbox operational data, including mailbox addresses, exact mailbox searches, provider message and resource IDs, and failed-report quarantine data, is removed 90 days after the final staff decision. Audible identity information, including profile URLs, listener IDs, normalized owner keys, aliases, assignment identity copies, operation-receipt result copies, and conflict-approval identity data, is kept indefinitely. Free-form staff notes normally remain for no longer than one year. These schedules pause when a legal, fraud, or chargeback hold applies. We preserve irreversible duplicate checks, claim protections, final outcomes, and required financial or audit facts for fraud prevention and legal or accounting proof.

6. Protection Practices

ReadForPay uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards that are reasonable for protecting your information. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, so these measures cannot promise absolute security.

7. How Long Records Remain

Personal information is kept during the life of an active account. Afterward, records remain only as needed for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and platform safety purposes.

8. Your Privacy Requests

Email info@readforpay.com to request changes to communication preferences or to ask for access, correction, or deletion. ReadForPay may keep records when required by law or when lawful business needs justify retention.

9. Age Requirement

The reader platform is intended only for people who are at least 18. ReadForPay does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. When This Notice Changes

If this Privacy Policy changes, ReadForPay will post the revised notice and identify its effective date above. Your continued use after that posting constitutes acceptance of the revision.
