Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 21, 2026

1. Using ReadForPay

Using ReadForPay at readforpay.com means you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Anyone who does not accept them must not use or continue using the reader platform.

2. Who May Participate

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must live in the United States or Canada.
  • You must have an active Amazon account with at least $50 in annual purchase history.
  • You must provide accurate identity, contact, tax, and payout information when requested.
  • Participation requires compliance with applicable FTC rules as well as Amazon's terms and community guidelines.

3. Your Account

Each person may hold one account. For duplicate accounts, false information, or sharing account access, ReadForPay may independently suspend the account, terminate it, or forfeit unpaid balances.

4. Book Work and Completion

ReadForPay provides books and reading assignments with a way to prove completion. Depending on the instructions, proof can be a written book report or an optional Amazon review link.

Compensation covers approved completion of reading work; it is not for positive reviews or any attempt at manipulating ratings.

5. Pickup Limits and Deadlines

  • Trial readers may hold 1 active assignment. After your first completed assignment, you may hold up to 2 active assignments unless ReadForPay changes your limit.
  • Trial readers may pick up 1 book per 7-day period. After your first completed assignment, you may pick up up to 5 books per 7-day period unless ReadForPay changes your limit.
  • Each assignment has a deadline. Missed deadlines may expire automatically.
  • Your first assignment may be an unpaid trial. Completing it unlocks paid assignments.

6. Honest Reviews and Book Reports

  • Any Amazon review you choose to submit must be honest, independent, and based on your genuine opinion.
  • You are not required to leave a positive review.
  • You may not submit fake, copied, AI-generated, recycled, or misleading work.
  • You may not coordinate ratings, participate in review swaps, or manipulate review outcomes.
  • You may not delete, edit, or otherwise alter a review to trigger payment, avoid detection, or make an assignment appear complete.
  • ReadForPay may reject submissions, request revisions, or remove access at its discretion.

7. Approval, Earnings, and Payouts

  • Earnings are credited only after a submission is approved.
  • Supported reader payouts are processed through Stripe Connect Express.
  • You are responsible for completing payout onboarding and keeping payout details current.
  • You are responsible for taxes and reporting related to your earnings.
  • ReadForPay may withhold, reverse, or offset payments for fraud, policy violations, review-integrity risk, chargebacks, or platform abuse.

Program Description

By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive recurring SMS messages from ReadForPay, including verification codes, assignment notifications, earnings updates, and deadline reminders.

You can cancel SMS messages at any time by texting STOP. After you send STOP, we may send a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. Text HELP for assistance, or contact info@readforpay.com.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy information is available at https://readforpay.com/privacy-policy.

9. Conduct That Is Not Allowed

  • Creating multiple accounts or using false identities
  • Submitting fraudulent, plagiarized, AI-generated, or fabricated work
  • Creating review-integrity risk through deleted, altered, unavailable, or mismatched reviews after verification
  • Sharing, distributing, selling, or copying book files or assignment materials
  • Using bots, scripts, automation, or scraping tools
  • Attempting to circumvent rate limits, account restrictions, or platform controls
  • Harassing other users, support staff, or administrators

10. Audiobook Assignments

Audiobook work is paid for completed listening, not for a positive review. You may provide a full-screen screenshot of an honest published Audible review or use the higher-friction emailed two-page report path. ReadForPay does not receive or verify your Audible listening percentage.

Promo codes are personal to the assigned account and marketplace. You must not share, sell, reuse, or claim a code for another person. False redemption or completion evidence can result in rejection, loss of audiobook access, or account action.

11. Rights in Book Materials

Books provided through ReadForPay remain the property of their authors and rights holders. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to read assigned materials only for the assignment.

12. Loss of Account Access

ReadForPay may, at any time, suspend or terminate an account for suspected fraud, policy violations, low-quality submissions, misuse, or other risk to the platform. Where permitted by law, termination can remove access to assignments and unpaid balances.

This may include review-integrity risk, broad review-removal patterns, repeated unavailable or mismatched review links, or a user-requested suspension or closure.

13. Availability and Liability Limits

The reader platform is offered on an as is and as available basis. ReadForPay does not guarantee uninterrupted access, assignment availability, earnings, payout timing, or any other specific outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReadForPay is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

14. Governing Law and Future Changes

The laws of the United States govern these terms. ReadForPay may revise them in the future. If you continue using the reader platform after revised terms are posted, you accept the updated terms.
